Student Complaints and Appeals
At Iona Trinity College, we’re committed to ensuring that all students have a positive and fair experience. If you have any concerns about your studies, services, or treatment, we have clear and straightforward processes in place for you to raise and resolve these issues.
How to Make a Complaint
If something isn’t right or if you’re unhappy with any aspect of your experience at the college, you have the right to raise a complaint. Here’s how you can do it:
- Talk to Us: Start by speaking directly with the person or department involved. Often, issues can be resolved quickly and informally.
- Submit a Formal Complaint: If you’re not comfortable talking directly, or if the issue isn’t resolved, you can submit a formal complaint. Visit our student services office at the Rhodes campus for guidance and assistance.
- Follow the Procedure: Our Student Grievance Policy and Procedure outlines the steps involved in making a formal complaint. This includes how to submit your complaint, what information to include, and the timeline for resolution.
How to Appeal a Decision
If you’re not satisfied with a decision made about your complaint or another issue, you have the right to appeal. Here’s what you need to do:
- Review the Decision: Make sure you understand the reasons behind the decision. Sometimes, additional information or clarification can help.
- Submit an Appeal: If you still believe the decision was unfair, you can submit an appeal. You’ll need to provide a detailed explanation of why you believe the decision should be reviewed, along with any supporting documents.
- Follow the Procedure: Our Student Appeals Policy and Procedure guide you through the appeals process. This includes how to submit your appeal, what information to include, and how long the process will take.
Support and Assistance
We’re here to help. If you need assistance with making a complaint or appeal, or if you have any questions about the process, please reach out to our student support team. They can guide you through the procedures and provide additional support as needed.
All of our policies and procedures, including the Student Grievance Policy and Procedure and Student Appeals Policy and Procedure, may be found on our Policies and Procedures page.
Remember, your feedback is important to us. We take all complaints and appeals seriously and are committed to resolving them fairly and promptly.
